# OrderWorth – Cost of Goods & Profit Reports for WooCommerce

Version 1.10.18. OrderWorth estimates WooCommerce order profit using recorded
cost of goods (COGS), payment fees, shipping and packaging expenses. Review

## Development notes

OrderWorth Free includes manual report continuation beyond 5,000 orders and previewed product-cost imports in bounded batches up to 8 MiB. Its manual reports, global defaults, manual reviews and recorded historical order costs remain available. Conditional method rules require Pro. Install the current Free release first, then matching Pro if used, and keep one installed copy of each edition. See readme.txt for limits and local privacy choices.

The matched 1.10.18 pair includes Pro previews with bundled genuine screenshots of fictional example data. Previews do not execute Pro workflows. A merchant can explicitly remember a task locally for seven days and continue after activation; cost changes, imports, emails and schedules still require their normal review and confirmation. Navigation visibility and contextual dismissals are local account/site preferences.

All executable PHP, JavaScript and CSS source is included in this plugin. There is no bundling, minification, downloaded code or required build step to run the plugin. Code and included assets use GPL-2.0-or-later; see LICENSE.txt.

The quickstart text lives in `assets/guide-content.json`. After changing it, regenerate the bundled gettext-readable PHP catalog from the plugin directory:

```sh
node tools/generate-guide.mjs
```

This local development command requires Node.js 18 or newer and only its built-in modules. It detects this package's text domain from its plugin header. It does not contact a server or run during WordPress requests.

To refresh the POT template after changing PHP, JavaScript or quickstart text, use the official WP-CLI i18n command package. For this direct-install edition:

```sh
wp i18n make-pot . languages/orderworth.pot --domain=orderworth --slug=orderworth --exclude=languages,tools
```

The WordPress.org edition uses `orderworth` for the text domain, slug and POT filename. Translated JSON catalogs can be generated from PO files with `wp i18n make-json languages --no-purge`. WordPress.org language packs are supplied through its translation system; the bundled POT is a template, not a completed translation.

Quickstart finishes after the available lessons are marked read. Its final optional sharing step starts unchecked, can be skipped, and never verifies financial setup or report accuracy. Saved choices remain available in Privacy choices and survive a quickstart replay.
